Himachal Pradesh coins necklace, India
A Himachal Pradesh silver rupee coins necklace. It’s is made of 12 silver Raj rupee coins of King George V and Victoria Empress. The coins are dated between 1878 and 1919 and have good silver quality. All these coins are attached to a cotton cord with different colours. There’s a central enamel pendant 4,5 cm in diameter (1,77 in).
The string is the original one, it hasn’t been replaced. No clasp, but the length should allow the necklace to slip through the head.
From the beginning of the 20th Century.
The length of the necklace is 56 cm long (22,05 in). The rupee coins measure 3 cm – diameter- (1,18 in).
It weighs 196 gr.
