Rajasthan silver armband bazuband, India
Old flexible Rajasthan armlet, called bazuband. It’s made of several silver pieces tied with a cotton cord. It still has the original string, which is rare, as this kind of bracelets is usually disassembled and sold into pieces or remade into other jewellery items.
High-grade silver and very nice patina. From half XXth century or earlier.
It’s worn just above the elbow, one on each arm, with the cotton string gracefully falling along the arm, but it can also be worn as a bracelet.
Each silver piece is 27 x 27 mm
Size is adjustable.
