Turkoman pectoral ornament, Central Asia

Big gilded silver pectoral “gonzuk” from the Tekke tribe, a subgroup of the Turkoman people inhabiting Central Asia.

Made of silver and carnelians in cabochon cut.

First half of XXth century or earlier.

Pendant: 19 x 19 cm (7,48 x 7,48 inches)
Height with pendants attached: 34,5 cm (13,58 inches)
