Brass belt ornament, Ladakh, India
Brass pierced and embossed disk in the form of the luck-bringing “Endless knot”. It has seven streamers of blue glass beads, but is also common the use of streamers of cowrie shells.
It hangs from the waist attached to a silk waistband, and it is an important part of Ladakhi female costume.
