Dayak beaded head ornament, Borneo (Indonesia)

A traditional Bahau Dayak beaded hat, skillfully woven with fine rattan strips, finished with red trade cloth (a traditional color used in hats and baby carriers), adorned with Late 19th Century to Early 20th Century beadwork of fine seed beads arranged in an intricate fashion with various colors. On each side of the headbead hang some bigger beads and bronze pendants.

Materials: glass Beads, bronze, rattan, cotton.
